White and Red Labels

WHITE Labels

RED Labels

White and Red Labels are important in pharmacy and drugstore setting. They are used to label drugs that are needed to be dispensed individually or loose. They are also used for labeling compounded medicines such as syrup, suspension, chartulae, powders, simple tablets and capsules.

White Labels are usually used to label loose capsules and tablets which are taken orally. Loose capsules and tablets are those dosage form which are not individually packed in blister or strip packages. The "white" term denotes that the drug which is to be labeled is for oral use.

Red Labels are used to label compounded drugs which are externally used. Compounded drugs such as ointments, creams, lotion and others are examples. The labels must have a warning notice "Warning: For External Use Only" to avoid confusion and misuse. The "red" term denotes the that drug which is to be labeled is for external use.

Size of labels depends on your decision.
