Receptors

Receptors are active sites found in the cell. They are macromolecules that typically made up of proteins that interact with endogenous ligand or drug to mediate an effect or action.

  1. Surface of the cell
  2. Found beneath the cell-membrane
  3. Inside the cell or intracellular receptors
