Prescription

Prescription is a written medication order issued by a physician, dentist, veterinarian, or other legally licensed medical practitioner. Prescription contains a specific drug and dosage to be prepared or dispensed by a pharmacist and administered to a particular patient. Usually a prescription is preprinted forms containing the name, address, contact number, and other relevant information regarding physician or other prescriber. Also a blank spaces used by the prescriber in providing information about the patient, the medication desired, and the directions for use.

4. Superscription - holds the Rx symbol meaning "take thou", "you take", or "recipe."
5. Inscription - it is the medication prescribed
6. Subscription - the dispensing instruction to the pharmacist
7. Signa - the given direction or instruction to the patient
8. Special Instructions (Optional)
