The following are the
duties and responsibilities of the pharmacist in community pharmacy:
- Maintains the cleanliness in the dispensing area.
 - Promotes rational drug use to patients and clients.
 - Make and supervise the filling and refilling of prescriptions.
 - Shall check the labels of all dispensed drugs.
 - Inhibitor against use of cipher or unusual terms in prescription and prescription switching.
 - Dispenses contraceptives and devices
 - Monitors quality of stocks and their inventory.
 - Assesses supplier's capability to produce quality products.
 - Responds to laws and policies implemented by DOH-FDA.
 - Shall be pharmacovigilant to drugs' auxiliary effects and adverse effects while they are in the market.
