Information
- The pharmacy board exam in the Philippines is composed of six modules or subjects. They usually represent the pharmacy practice in the Philippines. To know about them please refer to this page: http://rxistsource.blogspot.com/2012/12/philippine-pharmacists-licensure-exam.html
- To be included in the list of examinees, you must have the valid credentials and documents as evidence pertaining that you have finished a Degree of Pharmacy and a 980 hours of internship in three areas of pharmacy and a majoring of which the examinee chose to undergo.
- Diploma is not much important in applying for board exam, but the following shall be prerequisites:
- Official Transcript of Record (OTR) for board exam.
- Good Moral Character (from your school)
- Internship DTR (Accumulation of 980 hours)
- Duly accomplished form
- Others
- Duly accomplished Notice of Admission (NOA), which is used to be the identification of the examinee. Also used as an evidence of receipt of test papers from the watcher.
- After filing the application, verify the school/building assigned to you posted 2-3 days before the first day of examination. Visit the assigned place of examination and do familiarize on the transportation and environment.
- Be aware on the things to bring on examination day. Wear your school uniform.
- Read the general instruction to examinees written on the back of NOA.
- Be careful in handling the identification sheet or answer sheet and test questions sets.
- Prohibited acts inside the examination room must be known. Discipline at all times is the best way to achieve your goal.
- Wait for results of the exam. It will take only 2-3 days before the releasing. Registration and oath-taking will be announced when to start and hold.

Tips
- Read and listen to all precepts carefully. Most students fail due to their misunderstanding and non-paying attention to what is being instructed about. Please concentrate yourself to the instructions the watcher is providing. Seating arrangement needs your focus. Filling up the forms and answer sheets is accompanied by allot of instructions and directions. Questionnaires are filled with directions to follow. So focus yourself on each direction or instruction given to you.
- Read all question thoroughly. Do not haste to answer the questionnaires. The time allotted to every module is enough to answer all the questions in the questionnaires. It is just that you must calculate the time you lend to each question if possible. Do not put yourself too much in just one question. Have a tentative answer for that, so that if there is more time to go back you can review it again. The point here is to understand the question to conclude on the right answer.
- Be sure you know what is being asked. Students sometimes are misleading to what is being asked, especially on the side of calculations and computations. Understand and analyze the question to bring out the true answer.
- Study all choices before you choose. See if the answer is relevant to the question or what is being asked. If you are not familiar with the question or choices, the nearest answer you know must be chosen. Provided you have no idea, lucky pick is the best solution.
- Eliminated choices you know are wrong.
- Paraphrase the questions. Sometimes the question is misleading or cannot be understand. Best way to do is paraphrase them in the way that you can understand it. Example, make the questions into their active or passive voice form if necessary to easily comprehend them.
- Think carefully and analytically. Remembering the basic concepts and principles can be helpful in choosing the answer. Feel relax and never be nervous. Haste and nervousness cause pressure indicating to lack of analysis and thinking.
- Shade right and dark. Make sure you shade right inside the box with dark shading. Do not use too much pressure. See for double shades on the numbers. When erasure is done, avoid rubbing it much, possibly you carefully deface the wrong answer noting for no much left that the machine cannot consider it. Apply pressure also on the back of the wrong shaded answer whenever erasure is done .
- Verify for missed answer or unshaded numbers. The proceeding shaded answers will be technically disqualified when a number is left unshaded.
- Check for time. Time must be known to manage your answering and reviewing of answers.
- Check and review you answers. If there is a spare time to review your answers use it.
- Never look at other examinees answers nor giving answers through any signs or body languages.
