How to Keep Your Skin Healthy

Here are some tips to keep your skin stays healthy and youthful.
  1. Your skin needs to clean everyday. Taking a bath everyday will keep your skin clean and free from harmful microorganisms. Use of antibacterial bath soap can help to eliminate bad bacterial that can be harmful to your skin.

  2. Exfoliate your skin. Our skin has a normal exfoliation process, which removes the dead skin and also the bad bacteria. Exfoliation helps also to stimulate new skin cells to develop and produce. Use of sponge or body scrub may aid exfoliation process. Use of astringent, toner and exfoliating lotions and creams can be helpful also. 
     
  3. Eat food rich in omega fatty acids, proteins, vitamins A, C, and E. Such food are fish, citrus fruits, dairy products, meat, eggs, green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, pumpkins, carrots, and other carotenoid vegetables and fruits. The substances containing by these food are very important in the development of new healthy skin cells and nourishing the old ones.

  4. Hydrate your skin. Keeping your skin hydrated keeps it healthy and function well - to protect and regulate the body temperature. Hydrating your skin also keeps your skin youthful. Drink a lot of water everyday. Apply moisturizer if needed or use of oats, honeys or eggs can be effectively moisturized your skin.

  5. Take vitamins and skin supplements to nourish your skin. Adding vitamins to your daily meals can help to boost your skin nourishment. Sometimes nutrients coming from food we eat are not enough to provide the skin with enough nutrients it needed, thus, vitamins and supplements are essential. Taking collagen supplement can be helpful, too. Collagen is very significant and responsible for skin's elasticity. Diminished collagen production in our body causes wrinkles and skin to sag.   6. Avoid long exposure to sunlight and radiation. Radiation coming from the sun can destroy skin structure.   7. Go to a dermatologist if you have extra money in your pocket. Dermatologists will take care of your skin and they will provide you the care you need to keep you skin healthy. Also they have special products and procedures that can aid your skin to stay healthy and youthful.
